IRONMAN 70.3 Sergipe 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, November 29, in Aracaju. The swim starts at the mouth of the Vaza-Barris River, in the Mosqueiro area, while the second transition and finish line are at Atalaia Beach, in Coroa do Meio. The official event schedule runs from November 26 to 29 and lists the men's elite start at 5 a.m. and amateur starts from 5:15 to 5:35 a.m. Times and operations remain subject to change by the organizer.
The information below was checked on October 22, 2026, against the schedule and regulations published by Unlimited Sports and a statement from Aracaju City Hall. All times are local to Sergipe (UTC-3).
Where the start, transitions and finish are located
The 70.3 format comprises a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride and 21.1 km run, under the 2026 regulations. The organizer places swimming and transition 1 (T1) at the landing area at the mouth of the Vaza-Barris River, near Joel Silveira Bridge on state road SE-100. Transition 2 (T2), the IRONMAN Village and the finish are on Avenida Santos Dumont, without a street number, near the Centro de Arte e Cultura at Atalaia Beach, in the Coroa do Meio neighborhood.
These are two separate locations. Spectators watching the start in Mosqueiro should not assume they can travel immediately to the finish at Atalaia: the race course and vehicle circulation may require operational adjustments not yet specified for 2026.

Race kit pickup and mandatory athlete preparations
The race kit must be collected in person at the IRONMAN Village during the Thursday, Friday or Saturday time slots. Under the regulations, participants must show an official photo ID, either physical or displayed in the relevant official app, complete facial-recognition identity verification, and sign a liability statement and medical form. Photos, screenshots and copies of IDs do not replace the original or official digital document.
- The rules call for advance facial registration on the accreditation platform, following instructions emailed to the address used at registration.
- A fee set by the local triathlon federation is required, as indicated by the organizer. Athletes should check the payment link and conditions on the official page.
- The red bag containing running items must be left at T2 on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The published schedule says it will not be accepted on Sunday.
- An identified bicycle must be checked into T1 on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m., according to the athlete's bib-number time slot. The blue bag and cycling equipment are brought on Sunday under the current instructions.
No kit pickup is listed for Sunday. According to the regulations, missing the pickup deadline prevents participation.
How race morning works on November 29
The official schedule provides athlete-only transport from the T2 area at Atalaia to the Vaza-Barris start between 3 and 4:10 a.m. The page instructs athletes to arrange this transport during kit pickup but does not state its cost unambiguously. Access conditions should therefore be checked directly with the organizer.
Athlete access to T1 is scheduled between 3:30 and 5 a.m. The official list specifies a white bag with dry clothes, a blue bag with cycling items, helmet and cycling shoes. The men's elite start is shown at 5 a.m., followed by the amateur rolling start from 5:15 to 5:35 a.m. The regulations include a women's elite category, but the schedule version reviewed does not give that start a specific time, so one should not be inferred.
After racing, bike and bag checkout is scheduled at T2 from noon to 3 p.m. Athletes seeking spots at the 2027 World Championship must follow the attendance and acceptance requirements in the rules and at the ceremony.
IRONMAN Village and spectator guidance
The IRONMAN Village offers free admission, according to its dedicated organizer page, and operates November 26 to 29 at the Atalaia Beach events square, beside the Centro de Arte e Cultura. It is a landmark for companions and visitors, but it is not the swim start, which is at Vaza-Barris.
Spectators can plan around the two published hubs: the mouth of the Vaza-Barris River for the swim and Atalaia Beach for the final run and finish. Access to individual stretches, parking spaces, reserved spectator areas and accessible facilities depend on operational instructions and on-site signs. This review did not confirm specific accessible viewing areas or guaranteed parking.
Roads and transport: what is confirmed for 2026
In a statement dated October 14, 2026, Aracaju City Hall reiterated its support for the event and said it would mobilize municipal services, including urban mobility. However, the statement does not list closed roads, closure times or bus diversions for November 29, 2026. Accordingly, 2025 traffic plans should not be presented as valid for this edition.
Residents, drivers, public-transport passengers and spectators should check later announcements from City Hall and Aracaju's municipal traffic authority (SMTT), as well as organizer updates, before settling travel routes. The race schedule does not establish that bus services will be suspended or that a particular road will remain open all morning.
What may still change before race day
The organizer expects to publish the 2026 Athlete Guide around one month before the race and post the mandatory online technical briefing during race week. The schedule itself warns of possible changes. It also contains an outdated reference to an October date, and the Spectator Guide includes dates from an earlier year. Neither has been used as the 2026 calendar.
Before leaving home or finalizing race plans, check the start times, definitive Athlete Guide, T1 and T2 logistics, and any traffic notices once more. Status on October 22, 2026: the event is announced for November 29, a schedule has been published, and detailed traffic directions were not yet confirmed in the sources reviewed.
